Engagement with the person behind the role

Since 2002, I, Ankie van Lint, have been working as a self-employed facilitator for teams in a wide range of branches (FMCG, industry, (university/higher/VET) education, municipal organisations, etc.) with great pleasure. My approach specifically focuses on my enthusiasm, engagement with the 'person behind the role', and creating an open atmosphere, where we can honestly look together at what is effective and what is not within the team. Drawing from my previous experiences as an HR manager in various organisations, I am alert to translating this into daily practice; 'what does it look like in reality and what are we going to concretely do more and less of?'.

I often look with teams at their informal rules and basic beliefs and whether they are helpful or blocking for the desired and achievable results. Truly getting to know each other differently/better, understanding how patterns develop, and which 'levers we can pull', I see as important elements for empowering the team to take responsibility.

The TeamUP method is a very helpful approach to quickly achieve a shared understanding with a structured method, addressing all aspects for the success of the team, the 'hard' and the 'soft' factors. From there, it often becomes crystal clear for the team what they can work on and what is needed for that. Following that, I enjoy supporting, reflecting, and guiding the team through the challenging and sometimes bumpy process toward improved collaboration and results.
